About Thailand

Since late 2002, Warm Blankets Orphan Care has been in Thailand, building Church

Orphan Homes and strengthening the surrounding communities as we care for orphans,

stimulate the economy, and live out the Gospel among “the least of these.”

It is so exciting to see the lives of these children change as they are welcomed into the

loving environment of a Church Orphan Home. Here, they are told of the Jesus’ faithful

love, often for the first time, and become a part of this family of widows and orphans.

No longer do they need to scavenge for food or work for simple day-to-day survival. At

the Church Orphan Homes, eat regularly, go to school, and even have the time to play;

their childhoods are restored.

In northern Thailand, home of the Hill Tribes,

life is anything but easy. Schools, hospitals, and

churches are often far away and the children

who are fortunate enough to have started

school often are pulled out at an early age to

earn a living. Poverty and disease have ripped

through the area, leaving orphans across the

nation.

Children often leave their villages to find work

in cities, hoping to earn enough to sustain their

own lives and, often, those of younger brothers

and sisters.
